unless you’re a white man who owns land/property, people literally died for your right to do this, and not doing it could allow some really, really shitty people to take power.

I mean if you really don’t care then ok fine you do you, but you could contribute something to making things better if you were willing to make a little effort.
it’s an opportunity to do absolutely nothing. my contribution will lead to nothing just like millions of other people’s contribution, I have no effort to give to government. plus only half the country voted in the last elections. trust issues
that argument literally only makes sense if you live in a tory safe seat and even then you can shrink their majority and give other people some confidence to vote a different way at the next election, or spoil your ballot paper so at least your abstention is recorded.

(p.s. low voter turnout is a big part of the reason the shitty people got into power, and you know how you can help to change that? By casting a fucking vote. one cross in one box. That’s it.)
