“The queen took the two hands of the young woman with a burst of emotion, gazed at her as if to read her very heart, and seeing nothing but sincerity in her beautiful eyes, embraced her tenderly.”

  # connie is so in love with anne in the book too like

Constance and Anne’s relationship in the book is presented super similarly to Aramis and Madame de Chevreuse tbh, like both working relationship and personal (and the latter is usually read as romantic so)

There’s this entire subplot with those four (+ Buckingham) which you never quite get the full story on mostly cause d’Artagnan never quite figures it all out 100%. Aramis and Constance insist they don’t know each other but then also the play dumas wrote shows the way of sending messages is Anne>Constance>Aramis>Madame de Chevreuse at least once so…but like there’s definitely a lot of parallels between their relationships to the…eh…powerful women in their lives

  # constance uses dem boys to save her gf

I mean yeah…

it’d be really interesting to see an adaption that played d’Artagnan and Constance less straight as a love story and emphasized that aspect of whats going on.
