Headcanon: Grantaire adores to paint on Enjolras’ body. He would never dare to make it anything permanent, but seeing the colours shift on the pale skin with every breath Enjolras takes is mesmerising. The chief in turn is is willing to humour him, lying still and quiet for once, just feeling the brush on his skin. Between the chill of the wet paint and the warmth of Grantaire’s hands, he can allow himself to exist just in the present moment without any worry for their future.
