Sharing for all the great les mis cosplayers I now know from expo: Andrew at Victorian Tailoring is currently making an 1830s outfit (Including drop front trousers at some point which my dash exploded with yesterday – so I may tag eddie in this but I don’t know if that’ll be weird). He’s done shirt and underwear so far.
He does great photos of details and process (and does walkthroughs sometimes). Some of the other victorian era stuff on there is relivent also, and he’s done some regency stuff (also with fall fronted trousers acctually).
yeah, reblogging myself I apologise. Realised I do acctually have more links that could be useful, it’s mostly from steampunk stuff and some of its too early or too late but still, require a bit of digging around particularly for men’s clothing finding stuff on victorian dresses doesn’t seem nearly as hard
http://aylwen.blogspot.co.uk/ – several coats amoung other things, plus lots of dresses for female characters
http://cursewordsandcrinolines.blogspot.co.uk/ – more dresses again, but also military stuff that should be adaptable
http://historicalsewing.com/ – mixture of stuff, good post recently for 19th century men’s patterns
http://malepatternboldness.blogspot.co.uk/ – not period clothing but greate for tailoring advice and details on jacket and waistcoats and the like (also good pun)
