Got back from MCM late last night, after a great weekend at expo.

Les Mis meet was great, first time I’ve cosplayed something popular enough to have a meet and everyone was brilliant both in costume and generally being awesome people, hope it happens again in october! (or earlier, if any of you go to any other conventions…paticularly jcon or alcon as they are about 30mins from me so I will probably go this year)

plus new people to stalk on here (I’ve followed a bunch of you, though I’m not entirely convinced I’ve put all the right names to faces yet, got some bits of paper with tumblrs written on to find as well) and in real life (as some of you live in/nearish nottingham so you aren’t getting rid of me)

Could deffinatel get used to having Enjolras yelled to get my attention (saw a very excited and very good jack frost cosplayer that way and I think some supernatural people? sorry I’m not far enough into the series to know if that’s correct – saw loads of other great cosplays this year too)

It was insainly busy (particularly saturday) but got some freebies and paid for stuff (urgh..money) and some presents for people (so if you know me in real life be vaguely excited…which is ust tasha i think as my sister wont tell me her blog)

Last portfolio and assignments for the year handed in

caught up on some of the sleep i’ve missed over the past week

finished my cosplay for expo

and been to see eddie izzard at capital fm, which was brilliant

Thank you! and I do intend to, I shall see you there…hopefully…providing I can find it (Embarassingly don’t know my way around excel even slightly despite the fact I’ve been going to expo for several years now)

Enjolras cosplays I hope to acctually finish for expo weekend, two versions from red and black and do you hear the people sing (I don’t acctually know which to wear or when)

please excuse my odd expressions here, and unfocused look, haven’t put contacts in

The jacket still needs hemming and buttons, as the convention starts the day after my portfolio deadline that’ll probably be done thrusday night

There’s going to be a les mis meet up on the saturday which sounds exciting (still too scared to join the facebook group though)

bonus wig i need to make curly/ do some styling of some sort too (I like the length I imagine Enjolras with longer hair than in the film despite the fact the rest of the outfit is film influenced)

sometimes i just really want a suit that’s properly tailored and fits me perfectly…..then I realise I have nowhere to wear one and it’d be pointless to make (that’d be a challenge) or buy one.

Then I realise that that’s what steampunk is for.

And I just refound my goggles

Which means…I might be doing something steampunky for one of the days at expo
