If you were ever told or were made to learn cursive writing when you were in grade school.
I wanna see how many of you suffered like I did.

“Oh , you need to know this.
Everything in high school needs to be turned in In cursive.”

“Everything you write in university has to be in cursive”. -high school

“I don’t give a shit as long as I can read it.” -university

yup but my teachers called it “joined up” and I spent ages not knowing it was the same thing

Wait wait wait “cursive” and “joined up” are the same thing???

I thought cursive was the super fancy writing with curly bits? (sort of like caligraphy, but without the fancy pens. Or the style of writing they teach in france?)

I thought cursive was just like, joined up and italic?

I googled it a while back and its literally the same thing

Well then… this means I know cursive??

That’s pretty cool

joined up is a subtype of cursive I believe, cursive covers anything thats not block printing basically
