i’m really still very angry about the classics but a quick little note because this doesn’t work well into the erastes/eromenos meta:

apollo and dionysus are actually really really similar gods when it comes down to it; dionysus really embodies the disorder to apollo’s order — where apollo has medicine, dionysus has wine, where apollo has music, dionysus has theatre, and while apollo embodies traditional roles of the erastes in his same-sex relationships, dionysus is the patron of deviant sex (so, theoretically, being the bottom in anal sex).
