Here upon these stones we build our barricade.
Whoever dies here dies in the radiance of the future, and we are entering a grave illuminated by the dawn.

“Flowers were only of use to him to hide the sword”
I love you! Oh say it with paving stones! Is a slogan from the 1968 Paris protests and this is suppose to be for the Les mis across history week but I’m a bit late.
Grantaire takes flirting advise from revolutionary graffiti and enjolras is just a bit confused.
Other than the slogan I’ve had an attempt at 60s French clothes – Google images suggest turtle necks were in. And enjolras is carrying pamphlets as well as wearing a scarf to protect his face should he need to.
I will do a better quality version on the image when I have access to a scanner
this took ages I’m sorry, but your headcanon inspired this comic and it was really nice to recieve your request ask so here you are eventually.
I’ve included the pages cut up for readability (I hope)
also I changed my user name since my reblog last time so there’s a good indication of how long this took
Please get used to fighting these thoughts before they start coming from your own head (and try not to die in the process) – R
I was doodling it wasn’t really supposed to turn out depressing sorry. But this is basically my head Canon for why Grantaire argues with Enjolras.
A group which bearly missed becoming historic
line of chibi amis de l’abc, will be coloured eventually I promise
