I love you! Oh say it with paving stones! Is a slogan from the 1968 Paris protests and this is suppose to be for the Les mis across history week but I’m a bit late.

Grantaire takes flirting advise from revolutionary graffiti and enjolras is just a bit confused.

Other than the slogan I’ve had an attempt at 60s French clothes – Google images suggest turtle necks were in. And enjolras is carrying pamphlets as well as wearing a scarf to protect his face should he need to.

I will do a better quality version on the image when I have access to a scanner

welll…bbc are doing a musketeers series so this was slightly predictable

this is all courfeyrac’s fault and hes deffinitly the most into it, plus he canonically owns a sword.

enjolras quite likes the sentiment of the motto but would rather kill the king than be part of his guard (to which the corret response might be, you can be aramis then…sort of)

combeferre is just slightly bemused and a bit worried about how courfeyrac managed to get them all in costume.

seeing aus where enjolras and cosette are siblings on my dash always makes me smile because you just know there’s going to be that moment where enjolras finds out the girl marius keeps talking about is his sister and “you cannot date pontmercy!" 

to which I imagine cosette would respond with a raised eyebrow and a very dangerous "excuse me?” and he’d have to back track very very quickly

First set: Enjolras, Combeferre and Courfeyrac

Enjolras is leading of course, whether from the back or the front depends on the situation. He carries some fliers and such but tends to travel light. Hoodie deffinatily pulled up over the distinctive blond curls and directing everything. With the help of Combeferre who’s both his extra eyes and ears and positioned as such and serving as water and extra flier carrier and front line first aid person, knows when to fall back to be ‘person left for providing bail’ but doesn’t neccesserily like it. And, Courfeyrac bounces back and fore between them and everyone else and is always in about 20 places at once whether relaying messages or acting as emergency protection, he always seems to manage to be in the right place at the right time to be the glue holding the entire operation together.  

this took ages I’m sorry, but your headcanon inspired this comic and it was really nice to recieve your request ask so here you are eventually.
