Cosplay Plans and Upcoming Cons

LFCC (end of July)

  • Punk!Les Mis (character undecided)
  • Something on Sunday ??? (Cassian? Depends on the weather a little take Josie’s suggestion and throw max together to join the others)

Maybe: nine worlds and/or LSCC in August – nine worlds depends mostly on money, LSCC depends on what friends are doing basically (I have no idea what to wear bombshells group might be at LSCC? I think). Thoughtbubble in September but its somewhat awkwardly timed.

October Expo

  • Musketeers (Aramis)
  • Rogue one (Cassian)
  • ….there are three days so also something else? 

Insomnia (early December) 

  • Borderlands (Mordecai)
  • Er…more borderlands? (I want to make the stranger) or maybe bioshock? 

stuff to do for aramis cosplay:

for april:

fix up button loops that fell off

make boot turnovers

potentailly remake shirt or at least
hem the existing one

also for april:

hopefully pauldron for jules

also hopefully fixing the top buckle
for pauldrons

at some point

make a sword belt and elbow cop/any other leather work

…i still really want a cloak

Upon further research the cloaks in musketeers would be casaques (or cassocks or mandilions from some sources). They show up relitively rarely in art though there’s one in Hendrick Pot’s a merry company at a table for example, which is from 1630. 

Perhaps more relivently for my purposes reconstructing history have a pattern – not entirely sure I need one if I can size it correctly by myself but someone else might find it useful if they find this post
