How about instead of responding with ‘well what if I did it like this instead’ when told something is incredibly hurtful and offensive people accepted that sometimes we’re just going to have to stop doing things that we like because they are hurting other people.
On a related note if something simultaneously is good for one group and really shitty for another your opinion on it particularly on how great it is is fairly irrelivent if your not in that second group (for example: genderswapped stuff, and literally anything gentiles seem to be able to come up with about dwarves).
