I hate when people complain about “oh health forms are stupid they want my biological sex instead of my gender!!!!” or “they only have male or female!!!”

There’s a reason for that, you dumb fucks, and they’re referring to biological sex

Different health risks are present in different sexes, and whatever gender is in your head does not change the fact that if you were born female, you have a higher risk for certain cancers and osteoporosis, and if you were born male you have a higher risk for heart disease and often a shorter lifespan than a female.

In other words, your biological sex is an important factor in health and health insurance, and your special snowflake status doesn’t change that.

No. There gets a point where nice doesn’t work. There’s too many stupid ass angsty teens on here that are gonna get themselves seriously hurt or sick because they wanna be a special fucking snowflake. Lemme tell you a thing. Doctors don’t give a flying fuck what you identify as. All they want to know is do you have two X chromosomes or an XY? Because cancer and lupus and certain medicines don’t give a flying fuck what pronouns you use. This is about your fucking LIFE. stop being angsty for TWELVE SECONDS because when you’re in an ambulance or going into cardiac arrest or whatever the situation may be, it’s ESSENTIAL that you get your head out of your ass long enough to tell them your BIOLOGICAL SEX that you were BORN WITH. It literally may save your life.

very few people ever get a karyotype test, its very rare for people to know exactly what their chromozones acctually are. Because you don’t need to know them for treating most conditions (and the test in expensive so they dont just do it randomly)

none of the conditions you’ve mentioned require the doctor to know your ‘biological sex’ (and if it did that’s still not two boxes, and chromozones are not the only part in that either). They require the doctor to know what the dominant hormone in your system is (lupus, heart disease – for example if you start taking testosterone your risk for heart disease goes up) or what body parts you have (cancer – cause you cant get cancer in a body part you dont possess even if you have at one point) to decide what your risks are for various things. if they dont know those things its going to be inaccurate

or to put that another way putting someone down as male cause thats how they were assigned at birth isn’t going to help that person medically if their dominant hormone is estrogen and they’ve had srs – in that case female is slightly more helpful but its still better to you know, know how their body acctually works because fitting them into a box that doesn’t describe that isn’t going to help ever (and thats more helpful for people who for instance have a testoserone based system but are still at risk of cervical cancer who don’t fit closy into either box if thats the only information you’ve got to give someone – which it never will be as doctors tend to try and gather as much information about your body and your medical history as possible before doing anything)

also, there needs to be more research into how symptons present for people who have(/are) medically transitioned(-ing) if its female typical, male typical or something else, whether that varies by what the condition is etc (also for intersex people) but basically knowing what someones gender assigned at birth is…is never enough information for anything and likely not very helpful
