I do gotta say as much as I have always harped on Overwatch for same face, like, tumblr always voices that as “blizzard can’t design women” or “lazy modelers” which I don’t really think is the case, other than in casual hyperbole.  I think it’s important to point out as well that there really isn’t a huge variety in their handsome male faces either, they just have the benefit of facial hair and more masked faces that sort of distract from that fact.

Yeah def, on one hand I applaud being nit picky about all this, I think it does lead to better art from the people who end up absorbing pieces of the discussion.  But I also think having a better sense of what is extremely intentional/calculated, and what is sort of collateral damage of the production process leads to better critique, which leads to better art.. and so on 

This, but also literally how is her face different in the short other than like lighting and game hair???  Her face in the short IS ALSO the Overwatch/Pixar Girl face??

This could plausibly not be the case with Brigette but they’ve said how they make the cinematics is taking the in game models and assets (maps/etc) and improving those models and different rendering etc for the purposes of animation – so it’s probably the exact same model just more detailed/render differently/different lighting/etc.
