I can’t find an answer via google so why does the Chinese/Korean lunar new year start in winter? Our calendar is also lunisolar but our new year is in the autumn (which is to do with harvest – mostly)

- i know the christian calander is some sort of wierd mix between ceaser and kinda arbitary descisions later
- i mean technically we have four new years but rosh hashanah is in autumn xD

- we have 'new year for trees' around this time though!
- which could be related or a complete coinsidence
- yeah ill admit that overwatch lny event is whats prompted me to think about this
