Just cause you struggle with the idea of people finding ships/characters/shows that don’t involve white men more fun and interesting than those that do doesn’t mean those people are ‘virtue signalling’ or picking characters based on what’s the least problematic it’s frankly not that deep.

- being so entrenched in white supremacy you can't concieve of finding non-white characters more interesting
- but if you thing that's the same as only being interested in 'the least problematic' I don't know what to tell you

- for something always presented as an 'oh so intellectual' argument this one is really dense
- not everyone likes the white guys best
- swallow the white fragility and get over it

- that's always good advice
- there are people activly trying to be aware of white prioritisation in themselves and how they view characters
- they like those characters and recognise the reasons more people don't
- when they find similar things super compelling in white characters
