Does it bother anyone else that the gun you get from Mordecai after opening Roland’s armoury is a Dahl? Rolands was a Lancemen. The Crimson Lance were Atlas, not Dahl. I think that the gun you get should be the last Atlas gun in the game, and make it legendary. And Gearbox has no excuse since the Flame of the Firehawk is a legendary. The Scorpio isn’t even a particularly good gun for being blue quality.

I just have a lot of feelings about this

if you want an arguably bigger fuck up they have brittania give you a hyperion sniper rifle as the reward for the don’t shoot the messenger side mission in the presequel (which is big enough of a side mission to give you an achievement) which is…incredibly awkward. not to mention it’s just reused from bl2 (assassin reeth drops it). at least atlas guns are believed to be long gone + they bothered to give the scorpio a unique and meaningful red text (and as tvtropes points out, firing it sounds a lot like an army salute drum snare)

If you want to go even further the Fremington’s Edge is just a Hyperion knock-off of Reaver’s Edge from the first game. And why bother giving it such a good scope if you can’t hit the target Jack why did you ruin Hyperion guns

Gearbox step it up for BL3 your fanbase is watching

there was una baha giving you the hyperion-made lady fist too…which again, is awkward considering the circumstances lmao. but that one’s actually really good, especially paired with a bee shield. there’s also the bitch too. and hyperion shotguns in general #notallhyperionguns

and yeah the plotholes/fuck-ups in this series are starting to get annoying…you can’t just say “well it’s not canon” every time you mess up

I agree, the manufacturer should be idk Bandit or Vladof at least. The gun itself is meh. But I do love me a Hyperion shotgun, especially with Gaige and Close Enough maxed out.

And let’s not even get into the whole how in the fuck is Pandora lit like if Elpis really is in geosynchronous orbit then either its always sunny on Pandora or we should see another star in the sky. Also why is the north pole a desert while the equator all glacial? I hope that with all the new planets we will supposedly be visiting they’ll be taking these kind of details into account

h-how can you think the lady fist is meh…have you seen that critical hit damage…

anyway,   #god i just need to make a new masterpost of gearbox fuckups. i’d do that myself but most of it would be opinionated salt :/ you seem to be the better choice when it comes to the, for a lack of a better word, nerdier details lol. educate us all about what pandora/elpis/etc should really be like

I’m sorry if this is a more private conversation but an honest to gd ‘explanation’ for the day/night cycle on Pandora from…someone at gearbox (I don’t remember who) I’ve read is: “one side of the moon is hotter and more radioactive so when that side is facing towards the planet it gives off more light” and I thought you guys might apriciate the shear level of bullshit in that.

I can buy Roland not wanting anything more to do with atlas after leaving the Lance and having a different manufacturer’s gun though tbh.

Are you fucking shitting me Gearbox? That’s worse than them forgetting Bloodwing was ‘he’ in the first game so they made up some bullshit excuse about how corpse eaters are hermaphroditic or something like get it together guys.

Also how does that ‘radioactive moon’ thing work when Elpis is rotating behind Helios after the patch following the release of TPS? Can we petition Gearbox to fix these, is that a thing? And that physics thread would be awesome, if you would be so kind

Sorry! been busy.

Well yeah, at least that is a thing that some species actually do so it sounds vaguely plausible, whereas the half radioactive moon is just made up.

I think the idea is cause we never really see the ‘sun’ fully on pandora the different light levels at different times come from the moon reflecting different amounts of light as it rotates (because radioactivity?)

the physicforum thread is here and does actually link to the article where the ‘one side of the moon is radioactive’ thing was said
