The former, Harrison Ford, is also Jewish.
I think that’s part of the excitement.
That they are going to keep the character as being played by a Jewish actor.
Been vaguely excited about this since the shortlist of actors was going around and it was like 90% Jewish.
This is almost certainly deliberate with that in mind which is great. It’s the sort of thing I can see Harrison Ford wanting to happen tbh but also Lawrence Kasdan is involved in this film (apparently going to be his last star wars writing) so it could also have something to do with him.
Was side eyeing all the complaints about that possibilities list that instead suggested gentile actors pretty hard in light of this.
