- (because you know steriods)
- also lots of sports at other levels take the Olympic rules
- and the Olympics are the highest level of competition for several
- but also couldn't compete in womens event from the point of taking testosterone
- but yeah basically good decision
- like at uni bucs use the same rules as whatever the main authority in the sport is
- minimum
- Oh this looks great
- taken them a bit long to figure out you don't play any Olympic sport with your genitals though
- they'd probably still be some time where you couldn't compete in either category for varying reasons
- this seems to solve the issue under the old rules of having to be two years post transition before switching?
- though I question how well that works out in practice
- trans women could technically compete in the men's events up until that two year post point
- under the Olympic committee definition of genital surgery
- which could be like five six years before you were considered 'two years post'
- which used to mean trans men couldn't compete as men for two years
