So I am out Christmas shopping and I’m seeing all these little girls picking out star wars toys and seeing stormtrooper gear at Claire’s and overhearing parents picking out lightsabers for their daughters and I keep thinking about being a little kid when Phantom Menace first came out and there was NONE of this and my mom would sigh heavily every time I asked for a BOY toy and just what a great time this is right now for kids and sci fi

The second time I went to see The Force Awakens I overheard a little girl telling another girl that she was going to be Rey (they were play fighting). It just brought this huge smile to my face. You go little girl! Save the galaxy!
