Dorks of the world celebrate!
You can have comic book fingers thanks to @espionagecosmetics and @kierongillen et al

I think I’ll review them on my retrogreat blog as I’ve promised myself I will write on there more often (if only it worked in an app like tumblr…) and do more about history and nails and random appearance and craft based stuff rather than pure clothing.

First impressions though – THANK GOODNESS they are big enough for my thumbs. I’ve tried so many brands of wraps and had them not cover my nails. I can wing it and everything, but it’s just… I am not a tiny fragile fairy creature. I am a giantess and I play cello and bass, my hands are BIG. They not dainty. I am not dainty. Deal with it.

Only most beauty products don’t acknowledge femmes as anything other than pixie princesses who fit in someone’s lap or can be scooped up into a Hero’s arms so I’m used to being screwed over by products and clothes because I’m big and it’s a BLESSED RELIEF. so yay.

Even though there are fewer individual wraps in these sets than I’m used to, I can already tell that they are sized better for me. I have way more confidence in them than I do in the miniature L’Oreal ones with 18 pinky sized wraps compared to the 14 generous ones in this set.

Honestly I’d rather all brands did it this way round – larger wraps that you can cut down, rather than more sizes for tiny fingers that I end up discarding. I can’t even find stamping plates that have large enough images for my thumbs and I know these are going to fit. Awwwww yeaaahhhhh.

The printing & overall appearance is good quality and the packaging is lovely. Nicer than maybelline and other high street brands. The instructions are clear and helpful.

Squee!
