Today is Trans Day of Visibility, so here is your reminder that while ome people have posted selfies today in the past, this day was never meant to be a selfie day. Today is for spreading awareness and visibility about trans people and supporting each other, especially our trans siblings who are marginalized on other axes: trans women, trans people of color, disabled trans people, fat trans people, and of course these things are not mutually exclusive.
Please remember this today. Please do not make today a selfie day. Please do not steal something from black people made for black people. Today is about visibility more than selfies.
