Here’s How The Euro Would Look If It Was Designed By This Hungarian Student

The Euro! Love it or hate it, but many newer European Union members dream about it. Barbara Bernat made her dream come true by designing a concept for Hungarian euros! The baknotes are covered with images of European animals and the flipside has images of plants. Overall, it has a interesting mix of both minimalistic and very complex design – the banknotes don’t feature much besides the drawings, yet these themselves are very detailed.

“Hungarian paper money” was Barbara’s MA
(she’s a Graphic Design student in University of West Hungary) project.
She made ten etched plates and used the somewhat-complex incision
printing method – the same one used for printing money!
