ah its cause both feet and genitals are at the ends of your legs I believe – the reason for the euphenism
though its not every time you see the word feet, mostly it just means feet. Foot washing was an established custom but that bit in ruth and possibly david telling uriah to go home and get his feet washed…not so much there.
and it also wouldn’t apply in the new testiment which was written in greek…sorry
