So the creators have said they want 50’s Cap to be the villain of the next movie which is great because I think that actually fits well with some of the more deconstructionist themes of Winter Soldier. You have Steve literally fighting against the person Captain America could’ve ended up being (a bigot and a complete asshole who thinks America is right no matter what) were it not for the fact that Steve is a genuinely good person.

So as long as they’re introducing that aspect and the fact that there has been more than one Captain America, I’d really love for them to at least allude to Isiah Bradley. Winter Soldier impressed me when they brought up Operation Paperclip and the fact that the U.S. would be involved in something as reprehensible as recruiting former Nazis after the war, so the idea of addressing them trying to recreate the Super Soldier Serum by doing unsafe tests on “expendable” black men is something I think would fit quite well. It doesn’t even have to be a huge thing.

And then couple that with the fact that Cassie Lang is likely appearing in Ant-Man and you’ve sewn the seeds for a Young Avengers movie down the line.

This could really work especially since I saw someone bringing up that they haven’t exactly clarified whether Steve Rogers/Captain America is still a fugitive or not.

It’d be a great time for someone less idealistic to step in and eff stuff up.
