on facebook we were discussing the next meet, it was looking like either the 12th or the 19th of april if that works for everybody… we also thought that would work if we could get matinee tickets for the show, but idk if there’ll be any availablewe should definitely keep an eye on what’s on at the prince charles and also at cinemas in general (and also see if people are up for the labyrinth ball because that sounds amazing)
and ahh as for cosplay, canon-era was so much fun i really want to put a decent one together! and i srsly need to work on my modern!courf because right now i only really have the punk version
i’m guessing those are the weeks schools are off? the 12th works quite well for me as its my first weekend of holidays so i could basically travel via london to my parents that day or something. not that i’m doing anything on the 19th particularly – easter weekend may be a little difficult for travel though (mel is less likely to be in the country – though my holiday dates are a little wierd this year so that may not make a difference)
I just had a quick look on the website theres a block of 12 tickets on the 12th (mix of £25 and £37 ones) but slightly more close together the next week – on the left of the upper circle as you look at the plan. think we’d need to book pretty soon though – it’d be good if we can pull it off
the laberinth ball was i think a bit soon for me to afford to travel down to london again, but it does look really cool.
you should, would you do montparnasse for a more put together one or someone else? modern au can be tricky too right? to make it unmistakably the character and such i mean
i think so, yeah. i’ll make a post on the facebook group to see how many people can do the 12th, it would be better for me too as i think i’m getting home from holiday late on the 18th… and oh yeah, i hadn’t really registered about easter weekend, that’s a point.
we’d need to book asap, so i’ll see if i can get an idea of numbers by today or tomorrow then we can maybe see about group booking discounts
i don’t know if i could make it yet and also there’s a question of putting outfits together, but there’s still a possibility that danni and i might go and i know jules and mel were vaguely interested though they haven’t seen the movie, so maybe it’s worth keeping an eye out in case there’s one in a couple of months (i know i can’t make the one in april, sigh)
montparnasse is fun and the coat’s a good starting point to have, so i might give it a shot again, but i’d quite like to do courfeyrac as well, or even bahorel… and I know! my modern courf relies on my personality because srsly it’s hard to define the outfit… like, bowtie??? hipster??? waistcoat??? slogan tshirt???
the train i need to get is cheaper on the 12th if that’s any idication for easter mark up? (only by about £4 but still)
that sounds like a plan, the website seems to indicate you need 10+ for a group discount, which we might make if the date’s convinient then we get best available seats for £39.50 which might work out more expensive but maybe better seats? it also says “We are happy to reserve the tickets without charge while you sort out the details with the rest of your party” which could be useful
oh that’s a good point, it might be an event they’d put on again in the future, that’d be good. and how have they not seen labyrinth!
As I have recently discovered courfeyrac has a rather nice waistcoat so that’s definitly a consideration – though then you also have bahorel scarlet one to consider. it’s hard to choose though, i still want to do fueilly at some point. haha yes, my mondern enjolras is basically personality+wear a lot of red
