£42 a week for food seems ridiculously cheap…
oh my god i am trying to spend like £20 a week and my budget is £25 a week on food are you kidding me
I spend about £20 a week on food, so it is possible!
I realise London is more expensive but major supermarkets should have the same prices country wide? (bear in mind I don’t buy meat, which is expensive, though)
avoid buying food in uni where possible! at mine it really adds up
(more or less, what I acctually do is a big £25-30 shop every two weeks then get more fresh stuff as needed between that -maybe a fiver on lunch at uni or wok and go on the way home, so its more like £40 every two weeks)
not saying I wouldn’t buy slightly more expensive stuff if I could afford it, and I realise fresh meat would add quite a bit to my bill if I ate it nightly, but £42 seems high to me to be honest 🙂
on a student budget £20-£25 a week food is doable but does help if you live near a decent supermarket or devide delivery with people you live with.
